Astoria's Golf Resort Cihelny
Cihelny's Golf Resort, is a relatively new but increasingly popular Czech golf course that was inaugurated in May 2001. Situated just outside Karlovy Vary, the course was designed by the world renowned golfer Sir Gary Player, to create a golf course with a landscape described as typically Scottish.
At the beginning of 2002, the whole Cihelny Golf resort was bought over by Astoria Investment Ltd who spent considerable time and money in restoring former buildings and adding new facilities. This has resulted in a magnificent Czech golf resort with plentiful facilities.
In addition to the par 70, eighteen hole golf course, amenities include; driving rage, pro shop, The Honey Course (a par 44 short hole course), golfing academy, putting green, training bunkers, club house and restaurant, making it one of the most extensive golf resorts in Europe. Cihelny Golf resort is now very proud of to be among the most notable and the first-rate Golf resorts in Czech Republic. In 2003 the European Junior Championships were held there.
The whole golf resort is nestled in the valley of the River Teplá, an area of outsanding beauty. Due to its location, Cihelny Golf Resort also tends to offer very good weather conditions.
Cihelny Golf Driving range
Driving Range in Cihelny was designed in line with the high standards expected of European Training Centres having separate bays with mirrored walls.
